MONA hits the road in Latvia

Ready to give MONA the green light for your project?

Are you looking for a gamma-spectroscopic measurement system that is ideal for both vehicle-mounted and airborne applications? MONA ENVINET is the state-of-the-art, exceptionally sensitive spectroscopic detector that enables the GPS-based tracking of gamma sources, with live determination of the nuclide distribution. The system is equally suitable for monitoring, surveying, localization of radiation sources and many other applications.

The State Environmental Service (SES) of the Republic of Latvia has opted to deploy MONA. Among other tasks, SES is responsible for ensuring the radiation safety and nuclear safety of the country. The state institution needed a mobile system to scan certain sensitive areas on a regular basis. Moreover, SES must be in a position to monitor vast sites rapidly on demand, where a hand-held device is simply inadequate to handle the scale.
Recently, together with our partner Labochema, we commissioned the mobile MONA system on the SES premises in Riga and organized a two-day, onsite training course that included several instructive test drives through the city center.

 MONA is available in a variety of sizes and configurations,  meaning it can be individually and flexibly customized to meet your specific requirements. Furthermore, the system can be extended to include a neutron detector and a dose rate probe for extremely high dose rates of up to 10 Sv/h.
