ENVINET = Innovation

For many years, ENVINET has been successfully developing and manufacturing innovative products for radiological environmental and area monitoring. The latest innovation is a high-grade GFRP housing for our MIRA detector that has numerous benefits.

MIRA is ENVINET's solution for simple, efficient dose rate monitoring. Until now, the highly integrated design has been enclosed in a plastic case, which also serves as a secure housing for the communication and GPS antennae. This plastic case is now being replaced by a GFRP housing (glass-fiber reinforced plastic), thereby offering the user several other advantages:

  • More lightweight: Reduced total probe weight
  • More robust: Enhanced mechanical stability
  • More precise: Increased sensitivity to low-energy gamma radiation thanks to the significantly thinner housing wall

Although the appearance and mechanical dimensions of our MIRA probe are unchanged, the new housing offers a number of advantages that our customers will also appreciate.
